The title must refer to culinary styles, as guitarist Michael Valeanu displays ample ability to cook on his guitar. He mixes tasty solo work along with a symbiotic trio of Jake Goldbas and Jake Sherman/B3 and delivers a rich and moody version of “Blood Count” as well as a hip title track. Cyrille Aimee’ brings her cheerful voice along for a couple of tunes; her glowing “20 Years” is like a sunrise while “How Deep Is The Ocean” gently glistens like the dusk. Valeanu mixes a hint of gypsy swing along with straightahead work on his own “Floating Island” as well as “Norwegian Omelette,” displaying a wide palate of charming sounds. You’ll like this guy-classy!
