Here’s a cozy duet session between vocalist Jenna Mammina and guitarist Rolf Sturm. Mammina’s voice has a sweetness similar to Blossom Dearie and uses it well on cute deliveries like “Betcha By Golly Wow” and the winsome “Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans?” She can sound surreptitious on a clever take of Elvis Costello’s “Watching The Detectives” and dreamy on “Long Ago and Far Away.” Sturm for his part is able to bop well on “Love Me Or Leave Me” and deliver bluesy and slower than usual takes of “Route 66”and “The Girl From Ipanema.” Intimate and friendly.
