Gary Moore: Live At Bush Hall 2007

Though he left us a few years ago, guitarist Gary Moore still communicates to us through vintage recordings now coming out from the vaults. Here’s an Our Town version of Moore in concert with Brian Downey/dr, Pete Rees/b and Vic Martin/key getting down and dirty at London’s Bush Hall on May of 2007. His voice is leather worn and throaty, and his playing is as if it’s his last gig. Lots of rocking boogie as on Chuck Berry’s “Thirty Days” and shuffling with the B3 on his own “ Hard Times.” He bends the strings and stretches them like a scene from Braveheart on “Too Tired” and picks the blues like he’s on the chain gang on “Trouble at Home.” More hooks than a fly fisherman are being cast on “Walking by Myself” and you’ll need a towel  yourself to dry off the sweat by the time you close down the set with “Sundown.” He went down swinging.
