Sometimes, I have these fantasies: What will happen a hundred years from now when our civilization uncovers the rap music of our generation and plays it? What will come to their mind if they hear an album like this, which is filled with synthesized drums, electronic effects, simplistic rhythms and trite vocal rants.
There are lots of programmed beats, harmonies and even vocals. Hasn’t this music been done before? I thought Rap started in the 80s, and it STILL sounds like this? Is there such a thing as progressive rap? Retro Rap? Classic Rap? Fusion Rap? If this is a music that is speaking to a generation, it must be saying “ENOUGH!!!”
