Back in the 70s, hard rocking glitter bands were the vanguard of pop music. The New York Dolls, Mott The Hoople…the list could go on. So what good does it do that a group lead by Queen V (and supported by guitarists Tristan Avakian, Tony Lewis, Brian Burke, bassist Chris Altenhoff, drummers Jon Weber , Tommy Diehl and J-Bomb and keyboardist Steve Mosto) has all of the attitude, anger, nihilism, chords a poses a generation later? Do we really need another Marc Bolan or Suzie Quatro, or a band/singer that sounds like it just came out of the old Starwood on Hollywood Blvd? If the lyrics were at least clever, you could hang in there with the riffs of these tunes, but is there REALLY a revolution just because you say there is on the opening track? Nothing sounds more corporate or dated than yesterdays news.
